Fifth Annual ‘Back To’ Charlie Brown’s Picnic Day. Old style family picnic sports day we experienced fifty years ago, comprising; Sand Castle competition, Easter Egg hunt, 3 legged races, Egg and spoon races, Sack and Flat races for all age groups, culminating in a Tug of War event for the adults and a lolly scramble for the children.

“Postcards” is a big, rich, sprawling collection of stories about the small South Gippsland town of Loch and its environs, memorably told by actors and musicians and backed by a 5 piece band in the Loch Public Hall. Its oral history from 1878 to today, the sad and funny real words of real people captured in their own words in original songs and stories.

ONE SMALL WINDOW OF LIGHT
An ABC Open Gippsland Video Project in South Gippsland. One Small Window of Light is the ABC Open component of the Be Inspired Festival, Gippslands premiere creative arts festival. The project feeds into the national ABC Open One Small Window project, taking this years festival theme of light as its premise.
Gippslanders are invited to submit a raw video between 30 and 60 seconds in length that captures a moment in life, interpreting the theme of light in whatever way they choose. It could be the study of a sunset, a time lapse on a traffic light, a night time neon scene or looking at light reflecting from your back pond.- the options are endless!
One Small Window of Light submissions will be screened as an ABC Open video installation in the foyer of each of the Be Inspired festival shire venues throughout May 2011. Participants also upload their videos to our national One Small Window video group, which feature videos from around Australia that shine a light on the everyday moments that happen around us.

TIDAL RIVER OPEN SPACE PROJECT — MONTHLY WALK

Meet at the Cenotaph at 9.30am for a monthly walk with members of the TROSP. Morning tea is provided.
The Tidal River Open Space Project (TROSP) is a community based initiative in partnership with Parks Victoria. The purpose of the project is to design and construct an intergrated open space at Wilsons Promontory National Park on the site of the current playground in Tidal River.

Four paths to dietary change. Jennie and Hess Strengers extend their substantial knowledge of vegan based food preperation and theory from their guests at Zenergie to the wider public. Watch the food preparation and then sample the results.
Session 3: 10am start. GOING TO THE PEAK; RAW VEGAN (Vegan and nothing ‘cooked’ above body temperature heat).
Morning tea and lunch and watch it being made and be given lots of ideas to transform your diet to Veganism. Raw Vegan food is a brave new world and is both exciting and the pinnacle of food nutrition. The day focuses on what Raw Veganism is, why people pursue it, what you need to make it and a range of dishes to sample it.
