BACK TO CHARLIE BROWN – FUN DAY
Fifth Annual ‘Back To’ Charlie Brown’s Picnic Day. Old style family picnic sports day we experienced fifty years ago, comprising; Sand Castle competition, Easter Egg hunt, 3 legged races, Egg and spoon races, Sack and Flat races for all age groups, culminating in a Tug of War event for the adults and a lolly scramble for the children.
Participants will be allocated into two groups – the Waratite’s (villages) and the Parkers (Caravan Park dwellers). Day trippers will be ‘adopted’ by the Waratites.

Wilsons Promontory National Park reopened on Friday 23 September 2011. “The Prom” has been closed since the devastating floods on the 22 March 2011, but much has been done since to repair roads, bridges etc. to enable the Park to open for the school holidays. So if you are looking for somewhere to take the family during the school holidays head on down to South Gippsland and take a look at the Wilsons Promontory National Park. (the southern most point of the Australian mainland). Also stop at Coal Creek Village (free entry), Meeniyan and Fish Creek all are well worth a look at on the way through to the Prom.

OPPOSITES EXHIBITION
The opening of the next exhibition takes place on Sunday 5th June between 2 and 5pm – Opposites – a group exhibition featuring twelve artists from South Gippsland. Each artist has been asked to respond to the word Opposites and produce four works on paper which will be hung unframed for the two week exhibition. An exhibition at the Meeniyan Hall by Gippsland Artists.
