LCCI Christmas Carnival. Leongatha Chamber of Commerce & Industry Inc are holding their annual family Christmas Carnival. Goller Lane in Leongatha will be closed to traffic.
Activities include: Animal Farm, Jumping Castle, Horse and Cart rides, Face painting (Lyon Street
near Goller Lane) there will be a display in Goller Lane of art work by local children, and of course
what would Christmas be without SANTA.
Retailers are opening for longer hours to allow people extra shopping time.

LOCH MARKET TRAIN
The South Gippsland Tourist Railway is running a special train to the Loch Market.
Loch Market Days:
The Loch Market operates on the second Sunday of each month (during summer months):
October 11 2009, November 8 2009, December 13 2009
Market Train: The special Loch Market Train departs Korumburra at 9.00 am and arrives Loch at
09.26am. The first train which you can return on is the normal service departing Loch at 12.06 pm.
The special ticket price for the Loch Market Train is $10 per adult return and $5 per child return.
These prices are only available on the special Loch Market Train and include the return trip on the
normal service. To be eligible for the Special Ticket price and be able to travel on the special Loch
Market Train you must be a resident of the South Gippsland Shire and produce personal ID with your
current address on it.

SOUTH GIPPSLAND WINES SUMMER STARTERS WEEKEND
Southern Gippsland Wines 5th annual Summer Starters weekend. Summer Starters is held each
year on the Melbourne Cup Weekend. It involves each participating winery to stage events and attractions at their cellar doors/vineyards. These attractions include, live music, food, arts and crafts.
In 2009 the participating wineries and their major events are:
·Basia Mille Vineyard and Olive Grove: feature smooth swing music from Dr. Pentatonic and Friends
on Sunday from 12-4pm
·Bass Valley Estate: ‘Vinyls in the Valley’ feature fine food and your own vinyl music on each day.
·Clair de Lune: Malaysian lunch accompanied by the smooth acoustic sounds on ‘One Tree Hill’,

·Djinta Djinta Winery and deVine Restaurant: fine food and live music Saturday & Sunday 12-4pm
·Lyre Bird Hill Winery: ARTZ, PIZZA and PIZZAZZ, food and live music Saturday & Sunday 12-4pm
·Purple Hen Winery: live music and food Saturday 1-5pm
·Ramsay’s Vin Rose Winery: ‘JAZZ IN THE ROSES’ fine food, wine and live music featuring Frank
